A beverage factory in Agbara, Ogun State, needed a 2,000 m² epoxy floor that would stand up to heavy machinery and foot traffic. The old floor coating was failing: peeling and cracking under the machinery and the wash-downs.
What the job involved
FortevaWorks worked on this 2,000 m² floor, completed in June 2026. It is solvent-free epoxy, 5mm thick, the thickness for heavy machinery, in a glossy finish.
The old coating was removed, and the slab was cleaned, ground and primed, with its cracks filled, before the epoxy coats were laid and left to cure. The floor was laid in sections, so the factory kept producing while the work went on.
How the floor was checked at handover
Coating thickness was checked during application. Once the floor had fully cured, the whole 2,000 m² surface was inspected for bubbles, pinholes and soft spots. A pull-off test then confirmed the coating was firmly bonded to the concrete. The floor was completed in June 2026.
